Firefighters called to brush fire south of Gardnerville
East Fork Fire and surrounding fire districts were called Sunday evening to a wildland fire burning south of Gardnerville.
According to Pulse Point, the vegetation fire was reported at 6:50 p.m. at 877 Leviathan Mine Road, with some reports saying its near the Nevada-California border. Reports via radio traffic is the fire is spotting ahead of itself.

Carson City Fire Department has also been called to respond.
No word yet on the size of the fire or if structures are threatened. We will update as more information becomes available.
