Eleanor Bambach

Eleanor Bambach, a 32-year resident of Shrub Oak, formerly of the Bronx, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 97.
Miss Bambach was born in 1927, in the Bronx, to John and Eleanor Bambach. She later graduated from Bronx River High School with a diploma and secretarial/bookkeeping certificate in June, 1944. She worked as a bookkeeper for both the Lehman & Luria Bros. Liquor Distributors and an upscale furniture design company in Manhattan before her retirement in 1994.
Locally, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, where she was active in Parish life. Miss Bambach will be remembered for her dedication to her family and devotion to her faith.
Miss Bambach is survived by three nieces and two nephews: Patricia Leahey (Amy Laufer) of Long Branch, NJ, Diane Boucher (Paul) of Merritt Island, FL, Theresa Gullen (George) of Katonah, NY, Andrew Bambach (Jessica) of Yorktown Heights, NY and Vincent Bambach of Lake Worth, FL. She is also survived by four cousins: Peter, Ann, Jennifer and Christopher Berlingieri; and 13 great- and grand- nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her nephew John Joseph Bambach in 2014.
