Edward Lennert

Ed died on September 2, 2025 at the age of 84. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Florence Lennert. He is survived by his wife, Joan Lennert; children, Bill Lennert, Sharon (Brian) Lennert-Touranjoe; grandchildren, Chelsea (James) Ciardullo, Sean (Amanda) Lennert, Christine Touranjoe; great- grandchildren, Aiden, Lennon, Myers, McCoy; brother, James (Connie) Lennert; nieces, Julie (Matt) Burlingame and Jen (Tam) Nguyen and family; cousins, Doug and Greg Longhini and their families.

Ed was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, teacher, coach and Child of God. In addition to his love of teaching he truly enjoyed his work and friends at Brockport State University and most of all at MCC where he was Assistant Vice-President. He was happiest when mentoring people. Teaching others gave him great joy and he continued to teach his family throughout his life. His degrees were significant but he was never boastful. He earned his Doctorate from the University of Southern California in Curriculum, Administration, and Cinema. One dear friend remarked that, “Ed was good at everything and was always looking to guide others and help them to relax and laugh.”

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Church (64 S. Main St.,Pittsford) Saturday, September 13th at 9 am. Interment to follow at Ascension Gardens Cemetery.
