Earl Williams

After years of struggling and fighting to survive for her loved ones, on May 14, 2025, God told his angel that He had work for her to do and to come home.

Earl Louise Williams ( Weezy or Lou) was born to Cleo Davis Thompson and Minnie Lewis Thompson on October 27, 1948 in Lewiston, NC. She was the youngest of eight children. Earl attended Bertie County School where she met her husband, Lindburg Williams, Jr. of Lewiston, NC. They were joined in matrimony on December 11, 1976. Their union produced five children: Alisa W. Morgan (Raymond Freeman) of Lewiston, NC, Carrie Lee Williams (preceded her in death), Marlene Williams of Lewiston, NC, Linay (Ahmal Morris) of Lewiston, NC, and Lindburgh Williams, III of Lewiston, NC.

Louise enjoyed laughing, cooking, and sewing. She played games with her kids, enjoyed family time and get togethers. Many will remember her great love for Bingo.

She loved and cherished all 12 of her grandchildren: Kiana Morgan, Damien Morgan, II, Jaliyah Sims, Zykayla Freeman, JaAmarion McClease, Joshua Williams, Jordan Williams, Serenity Williams, Persia Freeman, Neveah Freeman (deceased), Ah’lahja Morris and Ahmal Morris, II.

In addition to her daughter, Carrie Lee, and granddaughter, Neveah Freeman, she is also preceded in death by siblings George M. Thompson (Maggie), Oneal Thompson (died at birth), James Otis Thompson (Sarah), and both parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her four remaining children, Alisa, Marlene, Linay, and Lindburgh; her siblings, Maggie Cherry of Durham, Angelica Johson of Virginia, Chirlene Mitchell (John Mitchell) and Wendy Johnson of Lewiston, NC, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
