Dorothy Brunauer
Dorothy Brunauer, nee Harr, originally from Munhall, Pennsylvania, and a resident of Sunnyvale, California passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
She is survived by her loving children Pamela Linney (Gary), Ronald Hilla, Stephen Hilla, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy graduated from Munhall High School, Class of 1949, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she also was a champion marksman for the Rifle Team.
Retired from the Santa Clara Public Library, Dorothy was a lifelong lover of books, enjoyed sewing and needlepoint. Dorothy was known for her impeccable and fashionable clothing style.
Dorothy’s life was rich in love, family and her quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Public Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28th from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave., Sunnyvale. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Library Association or the American Cancer Society be considered.
