Donna Taylor

Youngstown – Private services were held to celebrate the life of Donna Jean Taylor who went home to be with the Lord at 5:15pm Friday evening, September 12, 2025. Donna was 64 years old. She was born on September 18, 1960, in Warren, the daughter of the late Jay and Mary (Johnson) Redd. Donna attended Bazetta Township schools and retired in 2016 from Packard Electric where she worked in the wiring harness department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Donna attended Heavenly Place Church of God in Youngstown. Donna loved to cook and host events, surrounding herself around the people she loved her family and friends. She was also an avid card player and enjoyed the time spent making memories while shuffling the deck. Donna leaves her husband Rubey Taylor, whom she married October 5, 2002, as well as two children, Trinisa Redd and Lewis Powell II both of Warren, three stepchildren, Rubien Taylor Jr. and James Taylor-Simpson both of Warren, and Mary Taylor of Columbus, as well as 36 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Donna also leaves four sisters, Lisa (Larry) Smith of Warren, Darleen Dukes of Cleveland, Valerie Manson of Columbus, Christian Redd of Warren and Gwendolyn Redd of Youngstown. Besides her parents Jay and Mary, Donna was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Timothy Redd, Vincent Redd, Jonathan Redd, Robin Diane Putman, Autto Calhoun, Shamika Redd, Larry Redd, Jay Redd Jr., Curt Redd, Brian Gilliam and Roger Redd. Donna was also preceded in death by 1 grandchild La’Tavia Donna Redd. Following Donna’s wishes all services are private.
