Donald Blau

Donald Z. Blau, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 21st, 2024. Born on November 5th, 1937, in New York, NY, Donald lived a full and accomplished life. He graduated from Manhattan College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, which he applied to a successful career in applied Mechanical Engineering and Manager of Mechanical Engineering.

An avid coin collector, Donald served as president of the Westchester County Coin Club, where he shared his passion for history and rare US coins, leaving a lasting impact on fellow collectors and friends. He also had a deep passion for carpentry and woodworking, crafting many pieces with the same precision and care he brought to all aspects of his life.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Diana Blau; his son, Robert Blau Sr. (Mary Ann); his daughter, Linda Blau; and his cherished grandchildren, Robert Blau Jr., Michael Blau (Patricia), James Blau, and Catherine Blau. His family and friends will forever remember him for his warmth, intellect, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
