Don Luchsinger

Don J. Luchsinger, 71, of Dubuque, died on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at his home in Dubuque.

Per Don’s wishes, there will be no formal services.

Don was born on July 23, 1953, in Dubuque, IA, the son of George and Marlene (Schrobilgen) Luchsinger. On September 22, 1978, he married Sheila Krause at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA.

Don was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan. He always loved a good game of euchre at family gatherings.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Luchsinger of Dubuque; one son, Dan (Jen) Luchsinger of Rosemont, MN; one grandson, Hayden Luchsinger; his mother, Marlene Luchsinger of Dubuque; six siblings, Connie (Doug) Dirks of Richmond, KY, Greg (Jane) Luchsinger of Dubuque, Chris (Mike) Shaffer of Dubuque, Tam (Tom) Westhoff of Delhi, IA, Dave (Sue) Luchsinger of Dubuque, and Joe (Kari) Luchsinger of Sherwood, OR; one brother-in-law, Mike Krause of Dubuque; 12 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his father; one brother, John, in infancy; and one great-nephew, Aiden Dirks.
