Deputies searching for man who attempted to lure teenage girls in Dayton

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release Monday, May 26, 2025:

On May 23, 2025 at approximately 2224 hours, Lyon County Deputies responded to the area of Quilici Road and Holley Lane for a report of a suspicious person.

Deputies learned that at approximately 2110 hours, a white, older model Subaru Outback slowly passed by two teenaged females who were walking down Quilici Road on their way home.

The Subaru circled the block and stopped next to the females. The vehicle was occupied by a single adult male who was described as being bald with slight facial hair and an Indian accent.

The suspect exited his vehicle and began attempting to speak to the females. The females told the male to leave; however, he continued to attempt to approach them.

The females ran away and the suspect followed them and subsequently parked at the end of Quilici Road for an extended period of time. The vehicle ultimately left the area toward Dayton Valley Road from Quilici Road.

This is an active investigation and Deputies are currently attempting to gain any further information on the driver and vehicle.
