David A. Hodgson
David A. Hodgson, age 81, of Orchard Park, NY, went home to be with our Lord on June 14, 2025 after a lengthy decline in health.
He was a proud veteran on the United States Marine Corp. A member of the American Legion Post #527. Following his military service, David embarked on a successful real estate career. He retired as a broker/manager of Realty USA’s West Seneca office and was previous co-owner of Hodgson-Becker & Olds which operated three offices in Hamburg, Boston and Cheektowaga. Additionally, he was a licensed apartment manager, RAM certified and managed 2,000 apartment units. His real estate leadership skills and expertise were highly respected in the industry earning him a life membership with the Greater Buffalo Board of Realtors. In recognition of his long standing contributions to the field, the National Association of Realtors honored him with the prestigious designation of Realtor Emeritus.
David’s passion was spending quality time with his step-son, Daren Wozniak while developing their country property on Hermitage Road in Warsaw where they enjoyed fishing, hunting, pistol shooting, planting trees and good times with family and friends. He was a member of the National Rifle Association where he advocated for responsible gun ownership.
After retirement, David enjoyed a winter hone in Wesley Chapel, Florida where he found joy in connecting with special friends from the Warsaw area in addition to new friends in Terrace Park Estates senior community where he served as director of the Home Owner’s Association.
Before his decline, David worshiped with his family of believers at Revive Wesleyan Church.
David is survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Wood), treasured step-son Daren Wozniak, brother Brant (late Betty) Hodgson, Gary (Amy) Hodgson, Jeffrey (Pat) Hodgson, sisters Joyce (late Doug) Hull and the late Jean (late Albin) Specht.
David’s family remembers him as hard working, dedicated, kind and generous qualities that defined both his personal relationship and professional endeavors.
David’s family will be present to receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 am at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5453 Southwestern Blvd. (corner of Rogers Rd. 716-646-5555) where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am. David will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, NY following his Memorial Service.
