Daniel Brugada
- May 5, 2025

Daniel Brugada, born on July 24, 1945, in Wellington, Kansas, passed away on May 5, 2025 (Cinco de Mayo) comforted by the compassionate care of Good Shepherd Hospice and his family by his side. Daniel was known for his humor, kindness, love, and warmth. He was a lifelong friend to everyone. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, a cherished grandfather, and a dear friend to many.
In his professional life, Daniel was a respected Construction Manager, dedicating his talents to the construction industry in Phoenix, Arizona. His free time was spent fishing for bass in the Ozarks, trout in the Rockies, and catfish in the muddy waters of Kansas. His creative side shone through in his love for photography. Daniel was a fine athlete in his younger years and remained a lifelong fan of competitive sports, particularly basketball (go Jayhawks!), boxing, and track and field.
Daniel’s love and warmth were matched only by his humor. His laughter and light have touched numerous people, leaving a legacy his family is immensely proud of. His inspiring spirit will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Dana Brugada; his children, Richard Brugada Sr., Marc Brugada, Tiffany (Toby Smith) Brugada, Brigette Zavala, Rachelle Joseph, Christopher Brugada, Tom (Debbie) Poole, and Rachelle (Richard) Compton; his brother, John (Bernadette) Perez; 29 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lobo, and many other fur babies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Camacho and Francis Razo; his step-father, Leopoldo Razo; his son, Daniel Brugada; and his granddaughter, Briana Brugada.
In adhering to Daniel’s wishes, there will be a family lead celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.
Friends and family are invited to leave memories and upload photos to Daniel’s memorial page. We encourage everyone whose lives were touched by Daniel’s love and humor to share their stories, as they are part of the rich tapestry of his life.
