Carson City to celebrate July 4th with fireworks show, viewing area and parking at Centennial Park
- June 29, 2025

UPDATE: Nevada Rural Counties RSVP is proud to present Carson City’s annual 4th of July Fireworks Show on Friday, July 4th, with the spectacular display scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.
This marks the second year the fireworks will be launched from Eagle Valley Golf Course. The change in location became necessary due to the expansive fallout zone required for safety and the development of housing near previous launch sites, including Carson High School and the Cross Creek, Mills Meadows, and Capital Crossing areas. After exploring several options, RSVP received an approved permit from the City for Eagle Valley Golf Course, ensuring a safe and scenic show for the community.
Free parking is available at Centennial Park (upper and lower lots), and many areas along Arrowhead Drive provide excellent views of the fireworks.
If you plan to enjoy the fireworks from Centennial Park, we kindly ask that you please take your trash with you, helping to minimize cleanup efforts on July 5th. Your support in keeping the park clean is greatly appreciated.
RSVP thanks the community for its continued support and invites everyone to enjoy the celebration. Happy 4th of July. The show will last approximately 20 minutes and include a barge of fireworks for the grand finale.
Sponsors for the fireworks are:
- Carson City
- Carson City Toyota
- Southwest Gas
- Vital Signs
- Allison MacKenzie
- Sierra Nevada Realtor
- Carson Valley Health
- Windows and Siding Reno
- Eden Management
Along with the free parking available at Centennial Park, both upper and lower parking areas, good viewing can be found on Arrowhead Drive in the business park parking lots. Viewing is also said to be good from Mills Park, according to RSVP.
A reader has asked if people can watch on the golf course grounds. The golf course is closed to pedestrians as it is not an open park, according to RSVP.
See the maps in the PDF below.
Centennial Park Dr. (Access Road) to the upper and lower fields will open at 7:00 p.m. to the public. Viewing at lower fields will also open at 7:00 p.m. Limited public parking. Fire accessibility requires 12 feet clearance on Heritage Way.
Ticket sales are closed for the special FUNraiser VIP event, which included a dinner golf tournament.
Proceeds from this event directly support the annual fireworks show and vital RSVP services for seniors and adults with disabilities, including transportation to medical appointments, access to nutritious food, and more.
