Carolyn Ann Laub
“Mimi, Mumu, Kitty”
The world lost its most dedicated mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend when Carolyn Ann Laub passed from this life. To those who loved her most, she was Mimi, Mumu, or Kitty—nicknames that carried the warmth of her love and the joy she brought into every room.
Her soul was in the chilly air of Alaska, the warm Sonoran deserts of Arizona, and the beautiful tropical weather of Hawaii. Each place reflected a part of her: strong and resilient like the northern wilderness, bright and grounded like the desert sun, and warm and welcoming like a tropical breeze.
Carolyn lived a life rich in family, friendship, and joy. Her front porch was always open, her kitchen always full, and her heart always big enough to hold anyone who needed comfort. She never let a birthday pass without a call, never let a guest leave her table hungry, and never ended a visit without saying “I love you.”
She leaves behind not only her beloved family, but a legacy of laughter, generosity, and love—a reminder that a life well-lived is not measured in years, but in the joy and kindness we leave with others.
Though the world feels quieter without her, her spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions she began, and the love she wove so effortlessly into the fabric of our lives.
