Carmela “Carmen” Sanchez

46, lifelong resident of Chicago’s south side, Garfield Ridge neighborhood, passed away July 23, 2025. Devoted daughter of Gilbert and Gloria Sanchez (Gonzalez); loving sister of Elizabeth Sanchez (Jennifer Bartolome) and Susie Sanchez; dearest aunt  of John Quinn; also survived by numerous fun-loving cousins, 2nd cousins, friends, and dearest 2 God-daughter’s; beloved dog mommy to her cherished Pomeranians Coco and the late Geronimo.

Carmen was always out and about and enjoyed traveling. Her family described her as someone who was very optimistic and set high goals for herself. Carmen will always be remembered and never forgotten.

The family will receive friends at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave. Chicago, IL 60638 on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Friday, August 1, 2025 Church TBD. Interment Mount Auburn Memorial Park, Stickney, IL
