Brenda Haney

Brenda Clara Haney, 85, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on September 21, 1939, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Brenda was a beloved mother, and grandmother whose love and spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Brenda was the cherished daughter of Bernice and Walter Peddycord and was part of a close-knit family with 7 other siblings that shaped her caring and joyful nature. She married the love of her life, Edward Haney Sr., and together they shared 36 wonderful years of marriage, building a strong and loving family. Brenda and Edward’s partnership was a testament to mutual commitment, warmth, and support to a remaining foundation that continues today.

Brenda is predeceased by her husband Edward, her son James and her grandsons Chad Carlson and Sean Carlson. She is survived by her brother Richard, her children, Edward Jr. (Robin), Lisa, Michael (Carolyn), Monica (Jerry), and Thomas (Danielle).

She was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. To her grandchildren she was more than grandma, she was Tata! Smart, funny, feisty, fierce and strongly loved.

Brenda called herself a free spirit and showed it in how she approached life. She had a zest for living, enjoyed trying new things and most of all loved spending time with her family. She adored her family and had special relationships with each member. We will carry her love with us always.
