Brenda Dennison

On March 1, 2025, Brenda Dale Dennison passed from this life to be with the Lord and her late husband, Lewis Dennison Sr. She was affectionately known as “MOM” and “GMA”, and “Bren”. Her priority in life was focused on her family, spreading love, making memories, and guiding the ones she loved through life as best she could while navigating it on her own. 

Brenda cherished time spent with her family, but she also loved her solitude. She faithfully watched soap operas, especially “The Young and the Restless.” She loved reading, gardening, sewing, puzzling, and cooking up new recipes for the holidays. Her chili, chicken noodle soup, baked beans, cinnamon buns, Viennese crescent cookies, and apple pie were the highlights of family gatherings. 

She lived out her ideal life in Canton, Georgia where she attended the Acworth Grace Fellowship Church. Brenda is survived by her children Luwaine and Lewis Jr. with their spouses and Jo-Anne; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sister Marsha; brother, Joseph; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. 

Brenda is predeceased by her beloved children, Virginia Hazel and Richard Lee; her grandson Christopher Thaxton; her parents Bertha Wright and Andrew Van Dunk; devoted siblings, Llewellyn Ellert, Victor Vandunk, and Andrea (Peggy) Reynolds. 

She will be greatly missed by her loving family and will always be remembered as the one who made family gatherings a trip down memory lane.
