Ms. Betty Jean Rucker Borders was born on May 15, 1953 to the late Lonnie Thomas Rucker of Homer, Georgia and the late Ruby Nell Bonds Rucker of Commerce, Georgia. She attended JL Williams School for Elementary school and graduated from Bryan High School in Jefferson, Georgia. She worked at New Dawn, for Commerce Police Department as a crossing guard, and as a CNA for BJC Nursing Home. She loved helping people in any way she could.

Betty Jean was a hard working faithful servant and member of Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church and later New Faith Christian Center. In the church she served on the Usher board, sang in the choir, and was a youth leader. Betty Jean helped keep the church clean and hosted many programs.

She is preceded in death by father, mother, and three sisters. She is survived by (Children)Tracey Usher, Jimmy Usher (Misty), (Grandchildren) Asia Morris (Remond Morris), Tony Patman, Kobie Usher,(Great-Grandchildren) Jansen Morris (Payton), Jaylee Morris, Jazlyn Morris (Siblings): Bobby Burley (Mary), Jackie Poole (Early), Tommy Rucker, Steve Rucker (Debra Kay), Rachel Dempson (Jeffery), Tracey Rucker, Adrienne Rucker and (Devoted Friend) Willie Eva Rucker.

She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
