Bernard L. Danielson, 91 of Cadott, WI. passed away Sunday, Sept. 14th, 2025 at Aspirus Hospital Stanley, WI.
Bernard was born on August 13, 1934 son of Willam and Mabel Danielson. He attended Cadott high school graduating in 1951. He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and studied Farm Short Course. He also went to the Officers Academy while in the Army where he learned the “Method of Instruction” He then became an instructor in the Army reserve. After 6 years of service he was Honorably discharged as a staff Sargent E5.
He married Joyce (Johnson) in 1960. Together they bought the farm in 1966. From their registered herd they sold many heifers for export to Spain, Mexico, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. Brian joined him in the farming operation they farmed together until 2006. The herd was sold and he continued to cash crop farm.
Bernard served on the Board of Directors for 21 Century Genetics for 22 years. He also served on the Chippewa County Holstein Association and the Chippewa County A.S.C.S boards. He was a faithful member of Big Drywood Lutheran Church and was church council member and president of the congregational council for several years. He was appointed to the State of Wisconsin Health System Agency representing Rural America in 1974 after working with the Saint Joseph Hospital Sisters organizing several meetings in multiple counties to find the need and support for the new Saint Joseph hospital in Chippewa.
Survivors include his Sons Brian (Angie) of Cadott, Bruce (Sonja) of Eau Claire, Kevin of Richfield MN and Nathan (Nicole) of Appleton.
Also survived by grandchildren Dylan (Bri), Emily, Jerad (Morgan), Caysen, Collin, Brooke, Whitney Danielson. Keegan and Quinn McClurg and Ethan Berkley; Great grandchildren Hayes and Blake. Siblings Muriel Shervey, Wayne (Flo) and Mark; Sisters in law Marilyn Danielson and Molly Danielson. As well as several nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mable; His wife Joyce, sister, Eleanor; brothers Allen, Harland and Clarence; Brothers in law Marvin Sheldahl, Albert Shervey and Duane Johnson; Sisters in law Deanna Danielson and Marion Johnson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 19th, 2025 at Big Drywood Lutheran Church Cadott, WI. with Vern Weeks officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will be in Big Drywood Church Cemetery, with lunch and fellowship to follow at the Church.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00am-2:00pm Friday at the Church.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS-Memorial are preferred to the Big Drywood Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
