Angelo DelBorgo, Sr.

Angelo J. DelBorgo Sr., a longtime resident of Harrison, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 91. He was born in Port Chester on August 28, 1933, to James and Elizabeth DelBorgo. Angelo proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 as a mechanic in the First Armored Division Motor Pool, a role that reflected his lifelong skill and passion for working with his hands.
After his discharge, Angelo married Lauretta Bisignano and had a son, Angelo Jr. He became the proud owner and operator of A & M Service Station, which he ran with dedication for 35 years. Angelo was also a devoted member of the Port Chester Old Timers Association and a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 450 in White Plains.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Angelo is now reunited in Heaven with his cherished wife, Lauretta. He leaves behind his loving family: his son Angelo J. DelBorgo Jr. and his wife Joann; his grandchildren Deanna Fugazy (Gianni) and Angelo J. DelBorgo III (Amanda); and his great-grandchildren Amelia, Angelo IV, Andrew, and Gianni, all of whom he adored. He remained close throughout his life with his beloved siblings, his brother Eugene and sister Betty, who survive him.
To honor Angelo’s life, family and friends will gather on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck (914-698-5968). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
