Angelina “Angie” Minucci, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on May 8, 1934, in the heart of Brooklyn, NY, Angie was a cherished soul who graced this world with her presence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. She departed from this life in Staten Island, NY, enveloped by the love of her family and the serenity of natural causes.
Angie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Benny, whose memory she held close to her heart every day. She was the epitome of a devoted mother to her children, Angela of Staten Island and Joseph of Arizona. Angie’s love extended to her siblings, finding joy and companionship in her sisters, Nina and Marie, and her brother, Vincent. She was greeted in heaven by her brother Johnny, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.
Her legacy continues through her adoring nieces and nephews, and she held a special place in the lives of Eileen, Martino, Tinamarie, Joseph, and Matthew Caputo, Nelson Mercado, and her caring aide, Joy. Each of them cherished Angie’s presence in their lives, celebrating every moment with laughter and love.
A devout Catholic, Angie’s faith illuminated her path throughout her life. She found solace and strength in praying the Rosary and watching the Mass multiple times a day on TV. Her spirituality was a testament to her belief in kindness, compassion, and the power of prayer.
Angie’s heart was as expansive as her smile, always seeking ways to care for others before herself. She was the embodiment of selflessness, her every action a reflection of her loving nature. Her laughter was infectious, and her joy in life’s simple pleasures was a lesson in gratitude.
Mornings in Angie’s home were filled with the playful competition of game shows, shared with her aide, Joy, who became a treasured companion. Evenings were reserved for the intrigue of NCIS, the challenge of Jeopardy, and the excitement of Wheel of Fortune. These rituals were more than mere pastimes; they were moments of connection and enjoyment that Angie cherished deeply.
Birthdays and holidays were a grand affair in Angie’s world, where she relished the opportunity to gather with her family, especially with Eileen, Martino, Tinamarie, Matthew, Joseph, Max, and Nelson. Each celebration was a testament to her love for her family and her joy in their togetherness.
To say Angie was loved by all who met her would be an understatement. Her impact on the lives of others was profound, and her absence will be felt deeply, especially by her devoted daughter, Angela. Angie’s spirit, characterized by love, faith, and selflessness, will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
