Chester “Leon” Garner

Chester “Leon” Garner, 84, passed away April 26, 2023 in Granbury, Texas. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 4pm until 6pm at Martin’s Funeral Home. Service will be held Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 1pm at Martin’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Granbury City Cemetery.

Leon was born October 17, 1938 in Corsicana, Texas to Charles Garner and Juanita Scott. Leon married Wanda Stephens Garner on February 11, 1977 in Fort Worth, Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, being outside, and spending time with family and friends. Leon was a Master Plumber and also worked at the nuclear power plant for 20 years.

Leon is preceded in death by 2 grandsons and 3 brothers.

Leon is survived by his loving wife: Wanda Garner; daughters: Toni Ramirez, Eva Williams and husband JOhn; sisters: Peggy Penny and husband Tommy, Debbie Magnum; stepsons: Butch King and Russell Arnold; 4 great grandsons; 3 great granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 2 nieces; 6 nephews.
