Vivi Thora Hartmann Jensen Clausen Johnson
Vivi was born 22 Feb 1936 in Stige, Fyn, Denmark to Hans Carlo Jensen and Thora Cecilie Hartmann Pedersen. When she was 3 years old, her father, Hans Carlo passed away from Tuberculosis.
Her mother remarried in 1940 to Leif Boja Clausen and Vivi’s brother Michael was born in 1941.
On December 6, 1951 Vivi, along with her mother, Thora, and brother, Michael, arrived in New York City, NY on the Swedish Liner “Stockholm” Mom referred to them as the 3 Musketeers, it was always the 3 of them.
On August 22, 1956, Vivi married Kenneth Wayne Johnson, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho, LDS Temple.
They lived in Provo Utah while Wayne attended BYU, and their first son, Bryant Wayne was born.
By 1959, they were living in Boise Idaho where their second son, Brent Carlo and their first daughter, Carolyn Kay was born on September 14, 1960. Carolyn blessed their lives for 6 months when she sadly passed away on April 19, 1961 at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
While living in Kent Washington, their daughters, Angela Kay, born in 1962, and Stacy Lynn, born in 1964, completed their children.
Vivi and Wayne also fostered children starting in 1970. Several children were blessed during this time with the tender love Vivi was always known for.
On January 22, 1962 Vivi signed her oath of Allegiance and became a US Citizen.
Throughout her life, Vivi was known as someone full of love, especially for her sweetheart, Wayne, who predeceased her on November 27, 2019, in Maple Valley Washington, after 63 years of marriage.
Covid years were especially difficult for her as she loved her family, friends, attending church and having recently lost Wayne, this was especially difficult and lonely time for her.
Mom would attend church every Sunday, she had to be in quite a bit of pain to miss church.
Know for her hugs and love for all, she has left a legacy of love to cherish her memory. Her delicious apple pie that she created by mistake, became a family favorite, along with Frikadeller, a traditional Danish meatball, flat cakes and her homemade chocolates each Christmas Season to name a few.
Vivi was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Kenneth “Wayne” Johnson, her mother, Thora, her Father Hans Carlo, her daughter, Carolyn. Her mother and father-in-law, Kenneth L. and Roean Marie (Nielson) Johnson, her sister-in-law, Cecelia Johnson Winters, brother-in law, Lewis Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Bryant (Sandra) Johnson, Brent (Jodi) Johnson, Angela (Kurt) Zaver, and Stacy (Mark) Olmstead. Her brother, Michael Clausen, Utah. Her grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Johnson, Crystal (Tyler) Worton, Benjamin Johnson, Levon (Sarah) Johnson, Garett (Alicia) Johnson, Nicholas (Sheniese) Johnson, Jessica (Sean) Atchley, Megan (Jorge) Calderon, Bailey (Elon) Zlotnik-Olmstead.
13 great Grandchildren, Claire Worton, Jocelynn Worton, Sadie Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Luke Worton, Daisy Johnson, Kenzie Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, Neil Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Sawyer Johnson, Violet “Vivi” Johnson, Poppy Johnson.
Her 2 nieces, Metta(Tom) Clark and Nina (John) Dalley. Brother-in-laws, Clark Johnson (Jan) and Mike Johnson
