William George Snyder

William George Snyder, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away at Community Hospice Truman House on November 22, 2022.

Born in New Philadelphia on September 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Henry and Agnes (Franz) Snyder.

After completing his formal education, Bill served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. Bill then continued his formal education working in carpentry.

Bill was an avid fisherman and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his later years, he also enjoyed woodcarving.

Bill married the former Gladys Ruby Kirkman and were blessed with the birth of two sons. She preceded Bill in passing on may 26, 1997.

In addition to his sons, William David “Dave” (Judy) Snyder of Dundee and Kenneth Warren “Ken” Snyder of New Philadelphia, Bill is survived by his grandchildren, Christina (Charles) Drubel, Marissa Snyder, Rachelle (Randy) Lemus, William Steven “Billy” (Nancy) Snyder, and Allek Snyder; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Ainsley Drubel, Mara, Uriah, Warren, and Allena Lemus, and Eleanor Snyder.

No public visitation or services are scheduled at this time.
