William Amberson Seaton

William Amberson Seaton, 88, of Springfield, died at 4:20 am, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Heritage Health. He was born April 20, 1932 in Ketchum, OK to Samuel and Pearl (Watson) Seaton. He married Viola Marie Vinson October 21, 1950.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Viola Marie Seaton; eleven children, Thomas (Dixie) Seaton of TN, Dan (Connie) Seaton of CO, Cathy (Gene) Baptist of Springfield, Genora (Edward) Rush of Auburn, Diane (Brian) Haynes of Springfield, Patricia Smith of Springfield, Sherrie Dirks of Athens, Robert (Carey) Seaton of Rochester, Donna (Jeffry) Schroeder of Springfield, Matthew (Kendra) Seaton of Springfield and Sondra Seaton of Springfield; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his canine companion, Cocoa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.

William was a member of South Side Christian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring cars. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life and Love will be planned for a later date.
