William Albert Burg

William Albert Burg, age 66 of Canal Winchester and formerly of Sugarcreek died Friday, July 2, 2021, in Mount Carmel East Hospital at Columbus following a period of declining health.
Born in Union Hospital at Dover on July 23, 1954, Bill was a son of the late Howard and Ora McCoun Burg. He was a graduate of Garaway High School and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Stark Technical College at Canton.
Professionally, Bill worked for the Belden Brick Company at Sugarcreek for more than 30 years in various capacities until his retirement. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, enjoying the ocean, and nature. He also enjoyed reading the newspaper, cooking, reading cook books and planning special menus and meals for his family. More recently, Bill spent a great deal of time with his grandchildren and loved being a part of their lives and activities. He also found great joy in being a part of the Life Group at his church, New Life Community Church in Lithopolis, Ohio.
Bill will be missed by his wife of nearly 47 years, the former Dalene Reneker, whom he married on July 27, 1974; his children, William A. Burg, II and Carol (Roger) Estabillo of Canal Winchester; his loving grandchildren, Angelina, Andrew, Abigail, and Alana Estabillo; his siblings, Ruth (Gary) Johnson, Sylvia Hines, June Newell, Danny (Rose) Burg, Roger Burg, and Joyce (Alvin) Chupp as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Edward, and James Burg.
The family will greet guests on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 1-2 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a service celebrating Bill’s life at 2 PM. Burial will take place in the Dover Burial Park.
