Wardell Palms Sr.

Wardell Palms, Sr. of Akron, OH, went home to the Lord on February 8, 2022. He was born March 4, 1934, in Shreveport, LA, being the youngest child to the union of the late, Leonard and Julia Palms. Wardell proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. After serving the country, he was employed at Goodyear in Akron, Ohio for over 28 years. He also worked at BF Goodrich and the Chrysler Corporation for many years. Wardell also owned/operated Palms & Sons Painting Company for over 40 years; painting various residential and commercial properties throughout Akron and the surrounding area. He enjoyed spending time at the Elks, Masons, and VFW where he was a member.
Proceeded in death by his parents; and brothers, Loyd and Fred Palms.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Wardell Palms, Jr., of Toledo, OH; daughter, Pamela Palms of Indianapolis, IN; son, Angelo (Sadonna) Palms, of Indianapolis, IN; and son, Darrell Palms of Akron, OH; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
