Virginia Maxine Lawrence
Virginia Maxine Lawrence, age 95 of Plano, IL formerly of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Season’s Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born on May 27, 1926 in Des Moines, IA the daughter of Arthur James and Este (Allen) Hopper.
Virginia was united in marriage on March 21, 1946 to Mr. Quentin Lawrence and they spent the next 54 years happily together until his passing in August 2000. Mrs. Lawrence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Virginia is survived by her children, James Quentin (Georjean) Lawrence of Spring Hill, TN and Betty (Gary) Bennett of Plano, IL; her grandchildren, Tanya (Tim) White, Todd (Shannon) Lawrence, Gary Michael (Marilyn) Bennett, Carol (Jeff) Mills and Janet (Bernie) Wall; her 15 great-grandchildren; also her 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, Arthur James and Este Hopper; and her husband, Quentin Lawrence.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 2, 2021 in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Nelson Funeral Homes, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
Memorials may be directed to the Oak Grove Cemetery Association.
