Velma M. Kandel

Velma M. Kandel, 81, of Marshallville, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 in the Laurels of Massillon Nursing Facility at Massillon, following a period of declining health.
Born in Moundsville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Letha (Blake) Burkhart. Velma attended Dover High School and had retired after 30 years of service with the former Sugarcreek Window and Door, now ProVia at Sugarcreek.
Velma is survived by her daughter, Donna (Tim) Baer of Marshallville; three sons, Wayne Kandel of Dundee, Jim Kandel of New Philadelphia and John (Julie) Kandel of Dover; three sisters; one brother, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2 PM in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Drive, Ste, E, Green, Ohio 44685.
The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, has been entrusted with her service arrangements.
