Troy G. Grove Jr.

Troy G. Grove, Jr., known to many as Mr. Troy, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2021 at the age of 81. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his wife and children. He was born in Youngstown on January 21, 1940 to the late Eleanor Colclourght (nee Jones) and Troy G. Grove. He served in the United States Army and worked at the Chevrolet plant in Cleveland before spending more than five decades as a devoted hair stylist and educator, salon owner, and mentor. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Marsha Grove; 3 children: Troy G. Grove III (Diane), Kevin Grove (Evita Hudson), and Tara Grove (Carl Scott); sister, Jeanne Dowdell; aunt, Allie Jean Wooten (nee Jones); 10 grandchildren: Samantha, Zoë, Elishah, Ayana, Corey, Kyla, Kyndal, Tucson, Kolton, and Maia; 1 great-grandchild, Messiah; sister-in-law, Darlene Smith (Eugene Henderson); and a host of relatives, colleagues, customers, and friends.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 13th.
