Tricia Kay Brown, 53, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center from complications of cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the funeral home, and again from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Friday.
Tricia is survived by her husband, Clark; daughter, Hailey (Gavin) Jones; grandson, Jinxi Jones; sister, Tammy (Steve) Girling; father-in-law, Jack Brown; sister-in-law, Jill (Tony) Page; niece, Mariah Girling (Drea Goedert); nephew, Derek (Sydney) Girling; and great-niece, Nora Girling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Karen Williams and mother-in-law, Jane Brown.
Tricia was born on September 22, 1972, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Lyle Williams and Karen (Rhea) Williams. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1991 and went on to earn an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Kirkwood Community College.
On September 24, 2005, Tricia married the love of her life, Clark John Brown, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Tricia was a chiropractic assistant at the Spinal Corrective Center and took great pride in her work and the people she helped every day. Prior to that, she worked for Windstream Communications for 19 years and spent several years in various childcare facilities where her compassion and nurturing spirit shined.
Tricia will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication to others, and her love for family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to Islamorada, Florida, spending time at Barn Town Brewery, and watching all her favorite shows on Bravo. Above all, she treasured time with her family—especially her grandson Jinxi.
