Thomas Joseph “Tom” Yosick, 77, of Dover, passed away peacefully in Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar on September 24, 2022.
Born in Dover on December 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Andrew and Agnes (Moliski) Yosick. After graduating from St. Joseph High School, he began an apprenticeship at Warner and Swasey in New Philadelphia.
On February 25, 1967, Tom married his best friend and the love of his life, Karen Sue. Together, they lived a life of adventure, significance, and love until her passing on May 29, 2019.
After marrying, the couple moved to Lansing, Michigan, and then to Seattle, Washington for Tom’s career. They spent 15 years in the Pacific Northwest, raising their family and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Ultimately, they returned to Tuscarawas County where Tom continued his professional career with Gradall, retiring as a Product Manager.
He is survived by his son, Tom (Jean) Yosick of Madison, Wisconsin; his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Gee Yosick of Portland, Oregon; his grandchildren, Zachary and Sydney Yosick of Madison, Wisconsin, and Kamlyn Yosick of Portland, Oregon; his brother, Andy (Linda) Yosick of New Philadelphia; his sister Monica Zmuda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; many nieces and nephews; and numerous close family and dear friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by his son, David Andrew Yosick on May 6, 2003; and three sisters, Agnes Monaco, Barbara Campo, and Mary Anne Neff.
The community is invited to join the Yosick family on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover to share stories and offer love and condolences to Tom’s family. Family friend and pastor, Jim Borton, will officiate a service celebrating Tom’s life in the funeral home beginning at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s memory may be directed to the Tuscora Park Foundation.
