Terry J. Hunter

Terry J. Hunter, 76, of Springfield, died at 6:29 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1946 in Springfield, the daughter of Harold and Mary (Aylor) Hunter. Her parents preceded her in death.

She leaves behind many friends. Terry had a love for her dogs.

Terry lived in Springfield, most of her life. She loved to play softball and bowl. She was a graduate of Lanphier High School in 1964 and continued her schooling at Springfield College in Illinois, Western Illinois University and Sangamon State University.

She retired from CWLP in the customer service center. She also worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company as a correspondent. She was a substitute teacher at Ursuline, SHG and District 186 for over 30 years.

Visitation: 10-11 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
