Terrence is survived by his wife of 48 years, Terrie Jensen Huff of Cedar Rapids; two children, Mollie of New York, NY, and Trenton (Amanda) of De Pere, WI; two grandchildren, Zoe and Miles; brothers Stephen (Linda) Huff, Frederick (Joan) Huff; and “favorite” sister Marcia (Mark) Koefod.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Lily Grace Huff, and brother, David Huff.

Terry was born on June 14th, 1936, to Everall Anthony and Maureen Elizabeth (McDonnell) Huff in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated from St. Patrick’s School in Cedar Rapids and attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA. Terry proudly served our country in the United States Army before returning to Cedar Rapids, and starting a career in sales and marketing. He was hesitant to marry until he was introduced to a young teacher from Wisconsin who had moved to Cedar Rapids for her first teaching position. The day Terry met Terrie at the Gateway Gardens pool, was the day he found the love of his life and best friend. They married on July 5th, 1975, in La Crosse, WI, and were to celebrate 49 years of marriage this year.

When asked to describe Terry in words or phrases, his family replied: What I love about my dad is how hard he loves us! Our dad is the definition of a true gentleman, the epitome of style, charm, and grace, with a sharp and clever wit. An absolute legend. He has impeccable taste, true class, and is the most fantastic dancer! He loves our family and always makes us his #1 priority. He makes us whole. Grandpa T holds my hand, loves candy, prays, loves Jesus, and he loves me. He loves Tootsie Rolls, is good at rolling his eyes, is precious and patient, always makes us laugh, and loves well. He is the best Grandpa ever. He is humble, oh-so-giving, loyal, truthful, and his smile lights up a room. Proud to be Irish. He is intelligent, astute, innately curious, well-read, and possesses a vast knowledge of history. Passionate about his lifelong love of learning. You can tell him anything, and he never judges. Loves with his whole heart. Faith, family, and integrity are cornerstones of his life.

Until the 12th of Never…
