Steven “Steve” Diczban

Steven “Steve” Diczban, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1955, in Springfield, the son of Edward “Ed”, Sr. and Daisy (Bentley) Diczban and they preceded him in death.
He is also preceded in death by one brother, William Diczban.
Survivors include one sister, Linda (Eddie) Pease of Riverton; one brother, Edward (Dana) Diczban, Jr. of Pleasant Plains; five nieces: Catherine Diczban (Jerry Armstead) of Springfield, Leigh (Chad) May of Ashland, Stephanie (Jay) O’Conner of Ashland, Amanda (Eric) Eaton of Sherman, and Mollie Pease of South Korea; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Steve served in the U.S. Army National Guard, 1144th Transportation Battalion. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Lanphier High School, Class of 1973. He was a resident of Springfield since 2010. Steve had previously lived in Florida and Georgia. He retired as a laborer from Kelly Construction in 2020. Prior to that, he retired from CSX Railroad.
The family will be hosting a memorial gathering from 10:30 am – 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with a memorial service being held at 11:00 am at Third Presbyterian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Third Presbyterian Church.
