Stephen W. Carroll

Stephen W. Carroll, 66, of Dawson passed away September 1, 2021 at his home. He was born November 25, 1954 in Springfield, IL the son of the late Edgar “Bud” and Elsie Carroll. Also preceding him in death are his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousin.

Steve is survived by four siblings, David (Heidi) Carroll of Social Circle, GA, Brian (Laura) Carroll and Mark Carroll, both of Athens and sister, Kathy (Rick) Rees of Dawson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a cousin.

He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He was an enthusiast when it came to cars, Mustangs being his favorite. He retired from the trucking industry where he worked for many years.

Cremation rights will be accorded. Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
