Simon Peter “Pete” Munds

Simon Peter “Pete” Munds, 41, of Rochester, IL died Friday, February 17, 2023 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born August 28, 1981 in Flemington, NJ, the son of Theus Scott and Virginia Arlene (Brooke) Munds. He married Rachel F. Webb September 7, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; one son, Ledger Munds of Divernon; three step children, Ashley (Chase Siddens) Webb of Rochester, Brandon Webb of Rochester and Corey (Brittany) Galassi of Winfield, MO; one granddaughter, Mia Galassi of Winfield, MO; two dogs, Roxy and Stanley; parents, Theus and Virginia Munds of Palm Coast, FL; two sisters, Rachel (Derek Ramos and Mary (Odi) Biberias, both of Palm Coast, FL; two brothers, James Dickson (Allison Brown) Munds of Flemington, NJ and John Paul (Jill) Munds of North Carolina; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Mike and Debra Meyer of Riverton; Brothers-in-law, Michael (Elaine) Meyer of Springfield and Zack (Holly) Meyer and Andrew (Jade) Meyer, both of Riverton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pete graduated from South Hunterdon High School and Atlantic Culinary Academy. He was the owner and operator of Munds Enterprises.

Pete embodied the phrase “work hard play hard”. His pride and joy aside from his successful business was his family. He loved his dogs, friends, traveling, fine cuisine and was an avid cigar smoker. You could always find him at a sporting event, cheering on his children, nieces and nephews. Pete had a very strong work ethic. He was one of a kind with a heart of gold.

Visitation: 11 am – 2 pm, Friday, March 3, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 2 pm Friday, March 3, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

The family will have a Celebration of Life to follow.
