Shirley DuCuennois

Shirley DuCuennois, 97, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on June 13, 2021, at the Elizabeth House surrounded by her daughter Linda Herbert and her granddaughter Jennifer Collins.
She was a bright light to everyone that knew her. Shirley was born to the late Earl West and Bertha King West in Washington DC in 1924. She was predeceased by her husband, Frances Reginal DuCuennois of 45 years (1990); sister-in-law Judith Guthrie Byers (2012); brother Earl West; sister Margaret Smith; and her beloved daughter, Bonnie Marie DuCuennois (1993).

She loved scrapbooking and working in her flower garden. She also did some volunteer work with Interfaith Ministries of Henderson County.

Shirley is survived her daughter, Linda Herbert of Hendersonville; son Peter DuCuennois of Montana; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The family will be having a private graveside service.
