Sherry Lynn Good

Sherry Lynn Good, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born January 18, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph Mezo, Sr. and Margaret (Ushman) Valerio and they preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her brother, Jon Valerio and best friend, Linda Waldrop.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Bill) Mort and Billie (Craig) Price, both of Springfield; three grandchildren, Brandon Good, Brandi Good and Kenneth Barlow; four great-grandchildren, Mikey, Isaac, Melodi, and Serenity; sister, Beverly Mezo of Virginia; brother, Joseph Mezo, Jr. of Indiana; niece, Amy; two nephews, Brent and Brian; and her beloved dogs, Max and Abby.

Sherry was a resident of Springfield all her life. She retired as the kitchen manager at Senior Services of Central Illinois. She enjoyed buying many BINGO scratch off cards. Sherry was a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
