Scott R. Ketterhagen

Of Walworth

Scott R. Ketterhagen was born March 25, 1981 in Burlington, Wisconsin to Daniel and Ellen (Kalbas) Ketterhagen.  He passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the Town of Walworth.

Scott was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and dog dad! He grew up in Walworth, WI and spent his childhood with his brother Kyle, but also with his best friends, who were truly like brothers, Ron and Nick Weeks.  Scott graduated from Big Foot High School and then attended UW Eau Claire for a couple of years before starting work in sales for Fastenal in Eau Claire, where he continued to work until 2022.   He was a man who kept his life simple but filled with what he loved most.  He truly enjoyed his life in Eau Claire, where he spent his free time fishing, golfing, kayaking, and hanging out with his beloved dog Kaya.  He loved the outdoors, playing Call of Duty, and watching all sports.  He was a Packer, Bucks and Brewer fan and got to enjoy going to both an awesome Brewers and Bucks game this past year before his ALS made it too difficult to do such things.   He loved spoiling his nephews, Levi and Max, and they always loved when he came to visit or came up north on vacation with them.   Scott had wonderful friendships with both childhood, college and adult friends.  Everyone who met him quickly experienced his sarcastic sense of humor.  He did hilarious impressions of all of his family and just had the best facial expressions.  He was particularly fond of making fun of his Mom and Dad! That same sense of humor carried us all through his brutal year battling with ALS.  Facing unimaginable struggles, he would crack a joke and make us alll laugh.  As the disease took everything away from his body, it couldn’t take away his spirit! He was loved by many and will be missed forever.

Scott is survived by his dad Daniel Ketterhagen; mom Ellen Kalbas; step-dad Andy Knudtson; brother Kyle (Kate) Ketterhagen; nephews Levi and Max Ketterhagen; and his canine companion and best friend Kaya.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 12, 2022 from 1 pm- 4pm at Fire2Fork restaurant, Delavan, WI.
