Richard A. McDonald

Richard A. McDonald, 66, of Girard, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born April 10, 1956, in Springfield, to Norman Joseph and Vanetta Lou Chapman McDonald. He Married Lori Anderson on March 14, 2006 and she survives.

Also surviving are two children, Scott (Isabella) McDonald of Culver City, CA and Haley (Andrew) Reutiman of Springfield; two grandchildren, Emma and Charlotte; one sister, Teresa (Jack) Pierce of Southern View; one brother, Norman “Bo” (Antoinette) McDonald of Leesburg, FL; goddaughter, Cora Jane and several nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Julie Barnett and John McDonald.

Richard was a US Army veteran serving during the Persian Gulf War. He retired from Punzak Heating and Cooling as a service technician after twenty years of service.

He traveled the world while in the military and was a very talented artist.

Private family services are being held.
