Scott Lynn Harris

Scott Lynn Harris, 60, of New Berlin, died on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at St. John’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born July 14, 1962 in Lincoln, son of Donald and Suzanne (Foreaker) Harris and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three siblings; Kim “Buddy” Thompson, Donald Harris, and Dawn Harris.

Surviving him includes four children; Jason (Calandra) Harris of New Berlin, Amanda (Thomas) Angelo of Chapin, Braxton James Liechty of Fenton, MO, and Kasondra Browning of New Berlin, twelve grandchildren, five siblings; Wanda (Doug) Lesson of Beason, Clara Boone of Kentucky, and Eric (Melissa) Harris, Rochelle Bixler, and Mitchell (Carrie) Harris, all of Lincoln, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Scott was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a factory worker. He enjoyed golfing, gambling, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.

Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
