Sandra Mae Trimble, 84, passed away Nov. 13, 2023, at Heritage Specialty Care, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment of Sandy and Gordon’s cremains will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sandy is survived by her children, David Trimble, Julie (Randy) Wright, and John (Amy) Trimble; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon (Roger) Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, Betty Moel, Ronald Umsted; and grandson, Justin.

Sandy was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Umsted. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and married Gordon L. Trimble on Oct. 21, 1960, in Cedar Rapids. She spent her career in retail and secretarial positions. Sandy enjoyed out-fishing her husband, crafting, gardening, and spending time with family. She loved going for drives.
