Russell Buxton Brown, Jr. passed away on January 15th, 2021 at 12:35 am in the comfort of his home after a brief battle with stage IV Esophageal Cancer. He was 51 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell B Brown, Sr.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Tracey M. Brown and two wonderful loving sons, Zachary H. Brown and Seth B. Brown; his mother, Barbara J. Brown of Gloucester; sister, Angela (Michael) Smith of Gloucester; brother, Chris Brown of Williamsburg; father and mother in-law, Jerry and Frances Arnette of Williamsburg; four sister-in-law’s, Wendy (Lawerence) Armstrong of Savoy, TX, Trisha (Shawn) Otto of Aurora, CO, Jennifer (Ronald) Broady of Williamsburg and Michele (David) Burris of Williamsburg and many nephew and nieces that he loved as his own children.
Russell enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and boys. He loved taking the family out on a boat and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. Russell, wife and boys enjoyed many family vacations in the Outer Banks and several trips to Skyland Drive to hike to Dark Hollow Falls. Russell enjoyed long heartfelt talks with his boys. He loved attending his boys school plays, school games and being an assistant coach for his youngest sons Williamsburg Hornets football team for a few seasons. He was a kind soul with a big heart and a true caring family man. Russell was a believer in our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ.
His family is planning a celebration of life at a later date due to Covid-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Cancer Society.
