Ronald Edward Munro

Ronald Edward Munro, 89, as of January 4, 2022, is enjoying Bluegrass in Heaven. He was born in Miami, Florida, to the late Fred Munro and Susie Lambert-Munro; he is also predeceased by brothers Don Munro, Tom Munro, and Fred Munro II.

Upon graduating from Miami Jackson High School Ronald volunteered to serve our country by enlisting the United States Army. Once he returned Ronald pursued a career with Bellsouth as a installer/repairman. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Ronald’s memory are his beloved wife Nancye Munro; daughters Melissa Rakestraw, Melinda Lundsford, Michele Thomas, and Marsha Gano; grandchildren Tiffany Llyod, Clinton Rakestraw, Amanda Link, Stephanie Roseman, Adam Brown, Marissa Thomas, and Mallory McCall; sister Suzanne Buffet and brother John Munro. He also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1pm on Friday, January 7, 2022; a private visitation will occur one hour prior. Pastor Steven Blanton will officiate. A graveside service to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Hendersonville.
