Rodger A. Berry

Rodger A. Berry, 66 of Springfield, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his home. He was born December 10, 1955 in Springfield, to Frank Oliver and Helen Jeanette Kerr Berry. He married Kristen “Kris” N. Allman on September 26, 2000 and she survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Cheryl (Mark) Dexheimer of Columbia, IL and Susie (Bracken) Brewer of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Bill (Judy) Berry of Virden and several nieces and nephews.

Rodger was preceded in death by his parents.

He retired after twenty years of service as a city police officer with the City of Springfield.

Rodger loved to watch Jeopardy and NASCAR, enjoyed drinking beer with his friends, and especially loved being retired.

Visitation: 12-1 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial service: 1 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Jeff Nelsen officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
