Marilyn A. Lyoch

Marilyn A. Lyoch, 85, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born January 15, 1936, in Litchfield, the daughter of Dominic and Anna Klokus Wojtkiewicz. She married the love of her life, Clement “Clem” F. Lyoch on October 22, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2020.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and grandchild, Grace Bramlet.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula Root and Kim Bramlet, both of Springfield and one grandchild, Ross Bramlet.

Marilyn was a resident of Springfield most of her life, though she graduated from Gillespie High School. She belonged to Church of the Little Flower, where she was an active member with Clem. Marilyn was a bookkeeper at Schlitt’s Supply for many years before retirement. She enjoyed embroidering, cross stitching and playing BUNCO. Marilyn and Clem had a large garden that they meticulously cared for. They loved to dance together, especially the polka and jitterbug, in which they were very talented. Marilyn loved to host and entertain family and friends. She took care of her family and always put them first.

Visitation: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Church of the Little Flower.

Funeral Mass: 12:30 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Church of the Little
Flower, with Reverend Al Kemme officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life for both Clem and Marilyn will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
