Robin Dale “Rob” Benning

Robin Dale “Rob” Benning, of Oakland, Ky., passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tenn. Rob was a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was born May 24, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Janet Benning.

Rob was a retired State Trooper in Alaska. He was a member of Center Pointe Church, he loved airplanes, guns and especially his dogs. Rob was a friend to everyone and loved helping anyone in time of need.

Survivors include his wife Judy Rhodes Benning; one son, Anthony Benning (Robin) and stepson, Bill Munson (Pauline); also a daughter ,Katrina Benning (Jeremiah Hopkins) and stepdaughter Lannetta Bilger (Paul); and nine precious grandchildren, Laurie, Emily, Marc, Alana, Ayla, Hope, Rowan, Sam and Aurora.

There will be a Memorial Service Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, 3 p.m. CST at CenterPointe Church, 1000 Roselawn Way, Bowling Green, KY 42104. Rob chose to be cremated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42103.
