Robert Steven Bolt

Robert Steven Bolt 72, of Springfield, passed away at 6:24 pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1949, in Springfield, to Peter Joseph and Laura Elizabeth Bretz Bolt. He married Deborah Andrews on September 14, 1984, and she survives.

Also surviving are four children Virginia (Companion Andrew) Bolt of Lewistown, Robert (Kathleen) Bolt II of Auburn, Ryan Bolt of Springfield and Jeffrey (Fiance’ Meredith) Bolt of Peoria; five grandchildren, Bridgette, David, Ava, Jack and Francesca; one great grandchild; sister, Patricia (Neil) Polonus of Springfield; sister-in-law, Patricia Bolt of Springfield, along with several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Peter and James Bolt.

Robert was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Bolt Motor Company and Bolt Enterprises.

He was a graduate of Griffin High School and was a member of Elks Lodge 158 and the YMCA.

Memorial Gathering: 9:45 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Christ the King Church.

Memorial Mass: 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Clinton Honkomp officiating.

Inurnment will be at Calvary Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield YMCA.

CDC protocol shall be followed.
