Robert Someliana

Robert Someliana, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8th 2021 at his daughters home in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was the widower of Glenda Joy Someliana. They were married 50 years. Born in Bagnolet, France, he was the son of Jean Baptiste Someliana and Suzanne Peacheux Someliana.

Robert immigrated to the United States in 1951 and became a United States citizen in 1956. He was employed at Mastercraft International in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he worked as a manager. Robert’s hobbies include watching Carolina Panther football, cooking, and talking to his sister, Janine, back in France. He will be remembered for his mannerisms, his love for his family, and the stories he used to tell about his time in the French Navy.

He is survived by his sister, Janine Someliana; his nephew, Christopher Someliana and his family from France; two daughters, Kimberly Borders and her husband David Borders, and Michelle Lauer and her husband Jim Lauer; six grandchildren, Tiffany Borders, Chelsea Clark, Ashley Borders, Cameron Someliana-Lauer, Lauren Someliana-Lauer, and Dylan Someliana-Lauer; and three great-grandchildren, Aelin Clark, Elyse Clark, and Vivian Someliana-Lauer.
