Robert Pirtle, 76 of Cedar Rapids, IA passed way on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Robert moved to Iowa in 1977 from Tennessee and landed a job with Amana Refrigeration and became a Union Steward. He retired from there in 2009.

He was raised on a farm and considered himself a cowboy that loved watching westerns. In his free time, he loved to fish, hunt and work on cars.

He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by his neighbors. He was a big talker that influenced the lives of many as an active church member. His cat Grace and his grand pup Bernie, he absolutely adored.

Robert is survived by his children Scott, Charles and Rhonda Fulton, Brothers Bobby Hayes, Roosevelt Pirtle, Sister Earlene Pledgem, Grandchildren Latoya Blume, Emmanuel Fulton, Justin Fulton , Breanna, and Willie Fulton, ex wife.

He is proceeded in death by: Parents Roosevelt Pirtle & Elnora Hayes, Brothers Jesse, Simon & Raymond, Sisters, Mae Emma, Mookie & Weedie.

An outdoor memorial will take place in April. Location has not been determined.
